The woman who was shot in the head as she ex­it­ed a car in Long­denville yes­ter­day has been iden­ti­fied as 38-year-old Avanelle Abra­ham.

Rel­a­tives said Abra­ham, a moth­er of one, lived at Lange Park, Ch­agua­nas, and had re­cent­ly opened a hair sa­lon. They de­scribed her as hard­work­ing and ded­i­cat­ed to her son.

While they de­clined to com­ment on what may have led to her killing, they urged peo­ple to be more dis­cern­ing about the com­pa­ny they keep.
