Republic Bank has advised that it is experiencing a technical challenge with its teller system that has resulted in service delays at its branches.
In a statement, the bank said its team is working to address the matter and has committed to providing an update by 1:00 p.m. today. Customers are being encouraged to utilise the bank’s electronic channels, which include ATMs, Point of Sale, RepublicOnline and RepublicMobile, while the situation is being resolved.
Republic Bank also extended an apology for any inconvenience caused to customers as a result of the disruption.
The bank has not provided details on the nature of the technical challenge or the extent of the delays but indicated that measures are being taken to restore regular operations as soon as possible.
Republic Bank is one of the largest financial institutions in Trinidad and Tobago with branches across the country.
