Users of Re­pub­lic Bank's OneCard are about to run out of time to con­tin­ue us­ing the cards.

The cards ex­pire to­mor­row.

The Bank had told cus­tomers with the OneCard that they must change their card to the new Visa Deb­it card by Sep­tem­ber 30, 2022, af­ter which time, "your OneCard will not work".

It had not­ed that the new Visa Deb­it card is Chip and PIN pro­tect­ed, mak­ing it safer and more se­cure.

"It al­so al­lows for con­tact­less trans­ac­tions and pur­chas­es at lo­cal on­line mer­chants," the Bank had said.

The Bank had al­lowed for ex­tend­ed hours at sev­er­al branch­es to al­low cus­tomers to change their cards.
