A Rousillac man was killed after his vehicle crashed into a ditch off the highway near La Bea on Saturday.
He was identified as 63-year-old Brian Aberdeen of Boodoosingh Lane.
Police said that around 7:40 p.m., Aberdeen was driving a black Nissan Wingroad in a southerly direction along the Archibald De Leon Highway when he lost control near the Vance River flyover and collided with a traffic sign.
The vehicle then flipped several times before landing 30 feet down in a ditch.
Aberdeen was found about 10 feet away from the vehicle, lying in nearby bushes. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The wrecked vehicle was taken to the La Brea Police Station.
Officers of the La Brea Police Station, the South Western Division Patrol Unit and the Point Fortin Fire Station visited the scene.
