An estimated 12,000 people filled the streets of San Fernando for vibrant J'ouvert celebrations, as City Month festivities continued in the Southern City.
Senior Superintendent Cecil Santana praised the event as safe and well-coordinated, thanks to the strong presence of Southern Division and Municipal Police.
Although an early shower sent some revellers scurrying for cover, the age-old saying "rain only stops cricket" proved true. Before long, the crowd was back on the streets, dancing and celebrating with unbridled energy.
Ten bands paraded from Coffee Street to Cipero Street in what was hailed as the city's largest gathering since Carnival Tuesday. The lively event wrapped up punctually at 10 a.m., leaving attendees buzzing with excitement.
It was a morning of unity, rhythm, and sheer joy that showcased the best of San Fernando's celebratory spirit.
