An es­ti­mat­ed 12,000 peo­ple filled the streets of San Fer­nan­do for vi­brant J'ou­vert cel­e­bra­tions, as City Month fes­tiv­i­ties con­tin­ued in the South­ern City.

Se­nior Su­per­in­ten­dent Ce­cil San­tana praised the event as safe and well-co­or­di­nat­ed, thanks to the strong pres­ence of South­ern Di­vi­sion and Mu­nic­i­pal Po­lice.

Al­though an ear­ly show­er sent some rev­ellers scur­ry­ing for cov­er, the age-old say­ing "rain on­ly stops crick­et" proved true. Be­fore long, the crowd was back on the streets, danc­ing and cel­e­brat­ing with un­bri­dled en­er­gy.

Ten bands pa­rad­ed from Cof­fee Street to Cipero Street in what was hailed as the city's largest gath­er­ing since Car­ni­val Tues­day. The live­ly event wrapped up punc­tu­al­ly at 10 a.m., leav­ing at­ten­dees buzzing with ex­cite­ment.

It was a morn­ing of uni­ty, rhythm, and sheer joy that show­cased the best of San Fer­nan­do's cel­e­bra­to­ry spir­it.
