A 41-year-old man and his 20-year-old son were allegedly nabbed with narcotics this morning by officers of the Eastern Division Gang and Intelligence Unit (EDGIU).
According to the TTPS, The men were arrested by officers who allegedly seized 1.6 kilogrammes of marijuana at the suspects’ Tamana Road, Sangre Grande home during a raid.
The drugs have an estimated street value of $24,000.
According to police reports, at 5 am today, officers were conducting a surveillance operation when they executed a search warrant for dangerous drugs at the home of the men.
During the operation, the police officers allegedly discovered a quantity of marijuana in a black plastic bag.
The men were immediately arrested and are assisting police with investigations.
The suspects are currently detained at the Sangre Grande Police Station.
