Sangre Grande man, son, held with 1.6 kilogrammes of marijauna

A 41-year-old man and his 20-year-old son were al­leged­ly nabbed with nar­cotics this morn­ing by of­fi­cers of the East­ern Di­vi­sion Gang and In­tel­li­gence Unit (EDG­IU).

Ac­cord­ing to the TTPS, The men were ar­rest­ed by of­fi­cers who al­leged­ly seized 1.6 kilo­grammes of mar­i­jua­na at the sus­pects’ Tamana Road, San­gre Grande home dur­ing a raid.

The drugs have an es­ti­mat­ed street val­ue of $24,000.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, at 5 am to­day, of­fi­cers were con­duct­ing a sur­veil­lance op­er­a­tion when they ex­e­cut­ed a search war­rant for dan­ger­ous drugs at the home of the men.

Dur­ing the op­er­a­tion, the po­lice of­fi­cers al­leged­ly dis­cov­ered a quan­ti­ty of mar­i­jua­na in a black plas­tic bag.

The men were im­me­di­ate­ly ar­rest­ed and are as­sist­ing po­lice with in­ves­ti­ga­tions.

The sus­pects are cur­rent­ly de­tained at the San­gre Grande Po­lice Sta­tion.
