RHONDOR DOWLAT-ROSTANT

According to a police report, at about 1:45 am today, 40-year-old Amar Hosein was in the front yard of his home at St Augustine when a lone gunman approached him and shot him several times, including in the head and hand.

Hosein was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mount Hope, where he was treated and warded in a critical condition.

On December 22nd, 2020, just after 7 pm, doubles vendor Kareem Jervis, who worked at the famous Sauce doubles, was shot while conducting sales at a stall just off Curepe Junction.

In similar nature, in 2019, on August 11th, gunmen had shot and killed Jervis’ mentor, doubles vendor Shazard Manick, who also worked at Sauce Doubles.

Friends and family of Hosein are said to be saddened and in shock over the incident, but are lifting Hosein up in prayers.
