Some 5,248 pay­ments have been is­sued for the School Sup­plies and Book Grant Pro­gramme for the up­com­ing aca­d­e­m­ic year, and the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion says the re­main­ing pay­ments should be com­ple­tion by Sep­tem­ber 5, 2025.

In a state­ment, the Min­istry re­ports some 14,752 pay­ments re­main out­stand­ing.

The Min­istry al­so re­mind­ed the pub­lic that the Grant is be­ing pro­vid­ed to spe­cif­ic, pri­or­i­ty cat­e­gories of ap­pli­cants, name­ly in­di­vid­u­als re­ceiv­ing pub­lic as­sis­tance, un­em­ployed per­sons, per­sons with dis­abil­i­ties, and low-in­come house­holds.

The Min­istry says no­ti­fi­ca­tions con­cern­ing the School Sup­plies and Book Grant will be sent di­rect­ly via email, and ben­e­fi­cia­ries are en­cour­aged to mon­i­tor their email ac­counts reg­u­lar­ly for pay­ment con­fir­ma­tions.

“Pay­ments con­tin­ue to be for­ward­ed to the bank ac­count num­ber pro­vid­ed by per­sons who have suc­cess­ful­ly qual­i­fied for the grant,” the Min­istry ex­plained.

Ben­e­fi­cia­ries are re­mind­ed that a valid form of iden­ti­fi­ca­tion—Na­tion­al Iden­ti­fi­ca­tion Card, Dri­ver’s Per­mit, or Pass­port—is re­quired for col­lec­tion of the Grant. In ad­di­tion, cheques can be cashed at any Dis­trict Rev­enue Of­fice:
