Pay­ments un­der the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion’s 2026 School Sup­plies and Book Grant Ini­tia­tive are set to be­gin from Wednes­day.

The Min­istry said fi­nal ver­i­fi­ca­tion checks have been com­plet­ed and the pro­gramme has now moved in­to the dis­burse­ment phase.

Suc­cess­ful ap­pli­cants will re­ceive an email con­firm­ing that their ap­pli­ca­tions have been ap­proved. Those who pro­vid­ed bank­ing in­for­ma­tion will re­ceive fur­ther cor­re­spon­dence once the funds have been de­posit­ed in­to their ac­counts.

The Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion said ap­pli­cants who are re­ceiv­ing their grants by cheque will be no­ti­fied by email when and where they can col­lect their pay­ments.

Cheque col­lec­tion will be avail­able at Ed­u­ca­tion Dis­trict Of­fices na­tion­wide be­tween 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The des­ig­nat­ed lo­ca­tions in­clude the Port of Spain and En­vi­rons Ed­u­ca­tion Dis­trict Of­fice on Jern­ing­ham Av­enue; North East­ern Ed­u­ca­tion Dis­trict Of­fice on Savi Street, Boodooville, San­gre Grande; South East­ern Ed­u­ca­tion Dis­trict Of­fice at 87 High Street, Rio Claro; and the St George East Ed­u­ca­tion Dis­trict Of­fice at 2A East­ern Main Road, Tu­na­puna.

The St Patrick and Vic­to­ria Ed­u­ca­tion Dis­trict of­fices are lo­cat­ed at 16-22 Sut­ton Street, San Fer­nan­do, while the Ca­roni Ed­u­ca­tion Dis­trict Of­fice is on Bal­isi­er Street, Cou­va, at the for­mer Cou­va West Sec­ondary School.

In To­ba­go, col­lec­tions will be han­dled at the Di­vi­sion of Ed­u­ca­tion, Skills and In­no­va­tion at Dutch Fort Plaza, Dutch Fort.

The min­istry said ap­pli­cants col­lect­ing cheques must present a valid form of iden­ti­fi­ca­tion in­clud­ing a Na­tion­al Iden­ti­fi­ca­tion Card, Dri­ver’s Per­mit or Pass­port.

Ap­pli­cants have been en­cour­aged to mon­i­tor their ap­pli­ca­tion sta­tus through the Min­istry’s on­line por­tal, book­grant.moe.gov.tt, for up­dates on the out­come of their ap­pli­ca­tions and pay­ment arrange­ments.

The Min­istry said it is al­so en­gag­ing fi­nan­cial in­sti­tu­tions to fa­cil­i­tate the time­ly cred­it­ing of pay­ments to ap­proved ben­e­fi­cia­ries who pro­vid­ed bank­ing in­for­ma­tion.
