An unidentified man was shot and killed by a security guard seconds after robbing a woman of her car at Long Circular Mall just after midday.
The bandit reportedly relieved the victim of her white Nissan Tiida on the upper level of the car park and was confronted by an armed SWAT officer as he attempted to exit the lower level onto Long Circular Road.
The officer allegedly fired at the bandit after he pointed a gun at him.
The suspect later exited the stolen car, which had crashed into a fence, and ran a few steps before collapsing and dying.
His gun was secured by SWAT officers and handed over to the police.
