President of the Senate Wade Mark was today sworn in as Acting President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
The swearing in by Chief Justice Ivor Archie took place at the Office of the President, Circular Road, St. Ann’s.
Mark will stand in for President Christine Kangaloo who left the jurisdiction earlier today.
A release from the Office of the President did not say how long Kangaloo will be away, but disclosed that before departing the country, she met with Mark on Tuesday at The President’s House.
