Sev­en per­sons were ar­rest­ed for var­i­ous of­fences, while a firearm and quan­ti­ties of am­mu­ni­tion and cannabis were seized dur­ing an­ti-crime ex­er­cis­es con­duct­ed on Sun­day.

In the West­ern Di­vi­sion be­tween 7 pm and 11 pm of­fi­cers con­duct­ed a search at Cameron Road dis­trict, where they found one ri­fle loaded with a mag­a­zine con­tain­ing six rounds of 5.56 am­mu­ni­tion.

In the North East­ern Di­vi­sion, of­fi­cers con­duct­ed an ex­er­cise be­tween 12 noon and 4 pm at Cipri­ani Av­enue, Sec­ond Cale­do­nia. There, they dis­cov­ered a quan­ti­ty of cannabis.

Mean­while, in the South­ern Di­vi­sion, sev­en per­sons were ar­rest­ed for var­i­ous of­fences.

The sus­pects, ages 18 to 55, all of the South­ern Di­vi­sion, were held for of­fences such as breach of pro­tec­tion or­der, as­sault by threats, pos­ses­sion of nar­cotics, house-break­ing and lar­ce­ny and out­stand­ing war­rants.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions are on­go­ing in­to all of the above mat­ters.
