Sev­en peo­ple were tak­en to the Scar­bor­ough Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal in crit­i­cal con­di­tion Wednes­day af­ter a se­ri­ous crash in Lam­beau, To­ba­go.

Po­lice said the in­ci­dent oc­curred around 2.15 pm along Mil­ford Road.

Of­fi­cers said a 17-year-old boy was head­ing east in his ve­hi­cle when he re­peat­ed­ly over­took a line of ve­hi­cles and lost con­trol. His car slammed in­to an­oth­er ve­hi­cle go­ing the oth­er way.

The crash bad­ly dam­aged both cars.

The teen and his four pas­sen­gers were all in­jured. So too were the oth­er dri­ver, and the three pas­sen­gers in her ve­hi­cle.

Fire of­fi­cers had to use the jaws of life to free the teen from the wreck.

All sev­en were tak­en to the Scar­bor­ough Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal.

Doc­tors list­ed their con­di­tion as crit­i­cal up to yes­ter­day.
