Six people heading out from a river lime at Caura on Monday were arrested for drunk driving while another 10 received fixed penalty notices.
Police said they were arrested, processed and charged at the Tunapuna Municipal Police Station.
Officers said breath analysis testing was done by certified members of the Chaguanas Municipal Police Station.
The exercise was conducted during the hours of 5 pm to 9 pm in the Caura area by officers from the Tunapuna, Chaguanas and the Arima Municipal Police.
Police have repeatedly warned motorists against drinking and driving.
