So­ca artiste Yankey Boy, re­al name Kevon Heath, has start­ed a hunger strike to protest Dance­hall su­per­star Vy­bz Kar­tel per­form­ing at a con­cert in Trinidad on Car­ni­val Fri­day.

While not a lot of de­tails have been giv­en it was re­vealed by the pro­mot­er that Kar­tel will be a part of an event called One Caribbean Mu­sic Fes­ti­val on Fan­tas­tic Fri­day. 

How­ev­er, this has not gone down well with Yankey Boy who took to his In­sta­gram page to ex­press his dis­gust.

“Car­ni­val is sup­posed to be on­ly So­ca, Ca­lyp­so, Chut­ney, steel­pan and Tas­so,” he wrote.
