Relatives of Selwyn Boxie who was gunned down while sitting on the couch of his Palmyra home on Friday night, believe his death was a case of mistaken identity.
The gunman who walked into the house shouted out "Where Papi" before he shot Boxie multiple times.
But in an interview on Sunday, Boxie's son Claude said his father was not known as Papi.
"That was not his name. People called him Uncle Sello, not Papi," Claude said.
Since the murder, Claude said his family has been unable to rest. He said an autopsy will be done at the Forensic Science Centre once Covid-19 swabs are taken.
Meanwhile, police said they still have not arrested the green-hooded gunman who killed Boxie. The AD wagon which was used as the getaway vehicle, is yet to be found.
Anyone with information on the murder can contact Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS.
