Spir­i­tu­al Bap­tists will not be sus­pend­ing ser­vices and gath­er­ings in light of the COVID-19 virus.

Jack said, "My per­son­al view on this mat­ter is that this is re­al­ly the time that the church is re­al­ly sup­posed to be in com­mu­ni­ca­tion with our God re­gard­less of what re­li­gion. In the at­mos­phere there is a spir­it that we may not be able to con­trol the on­ly way we can con­trol the spir­it is with com­mu­ni­ca­tion with the Lord

Our doors will on­ly close if word comes from our Prime Min­is­ter or those in au­thor­i­ty where they come to the un­der­stand­ing or says to us the church should be closed oth­er than that we serve God in the church.”

Jack said his or­gan­i­sa­tion has a func­tion with its youth arm card­ed for next Sun­day at Port-of-SpainCi­ty Hall.

“If there is no change or word comes from our Gov­ern­ment our mis­sion con­tin­ues in prayer to God. “

He said ser­vices would take place as usu­al but not­ed that all pre­cau­tions have been put in place at sev­er­al Bap­tist church­es. The event com­menced with a short walk at Tamarind Square, Scar­bor­ough then to the Fair­field Com­plex at Ba­co­let Street.

The event was at­tend­ed by scores of Spir­i­tu­al Bap­tist from both is­lands.

In his ad­dress, Jack urged the faith­ful to keep pray­ing to God. Var­i­ous Bap­tist lead­ers al­so prayed to put an end to the COVID-19 virus
