The Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service’s headquarters on Wrightson Road, Port-of-Spain has been closed to allow Insect Vector Control to spray the compound.
In a statement late last evening, the TTFS said its headquarters will be closed today, Tuesday and tomorrow Wednesday to allow spraying of the compound by the Insect Vector Control Division, Public Health Department of the Port-of-Spain City Corporation.
The advisory did not specifically say if the corporation would be spraying to curb mosquitoes or prevent the spread of dengue.
The Fire Service assured that it is committed to the safety of the public of Trinidad and Tobago and stands in readiness to respond in case of emergency.
It said all emergency calls will be routed via the E990 system.
