The Trinidad and To­ba­go Fire Ser­vice’s head­quar­ters on Wright­son Road, Port-of-Spain has been closed to al­low In­sect Vec­tor Con­trol to spray the com­pound.

In a state­ment late last evening, the TTFS said its head­quar­ters will be closed to­day, Tues­day and to­mor­row Wednes­day to al­low spray­ing of the com­pound by the In­sect Vec­tor Con­trol Di­vi­sion, Pub­lic Health De­part­ment of the Port-of-Spain City Cor­po­ra­tion.

The ad­vi­so­ry did not specif­i­cal­ly say if the cor­po­ra­tion would be spray­ing to curb mos­qui­toes or pre­vent the spread of dengue.

The Fire Ser­vice as­sured that it is com­mit­ted to the safe­ty of the pub­lic of Trinidad and To­ba­go and stands in readi­ness to re­spond in case of emer­gency.

It said all emer­gency calls will be rout­ed via the E990 sys­tem.
