More than a week after it was reported stolen from its owner in Morvant, police have recovered a white Nissan Sentra, which they suspect was used in multiple crimes by bandits.
According to police, the vehicle was stolen at gunpoint on April 16.
A report was made, and subsequent searches and enquiries led officers of the Transit Police Unit (TPU) to a car park in East Grove, Valsayn, on Thursday, where the vehicle was found.
Investigators said they believe the car was used by bandits to commit a series of crimes before being abandoned at the car park in an effort to conceal their activities.
The operation was led by Supt Robert Joseph, W/Cpl Pompey, PC Leopold, WPC Navarro and other officers from the Transit Police Task Force.
