More than a week af­ter it was re­port­ed stolen from its own­er in Mor­vant, po­lice have re­cov­ered a white Nis­san Sen­tra, which they sus­pect was used in mul­ti­ple crimes by ban­dits.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, the ve­hi­cle was stolen at gun­point on April 16.

A re­port was made, and sub­se­quent search­es and en­quiries led of­fi­cers of the Tran­sit Po­lice Unit (TPU) to a car park in East Grove, Val­sayn, on Thurs­day, where the ve­hi­cle was found.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said they be­lieve the car was used by ban­dits to com­mit a se­ries of crimes be­fore be­ing aban­doned at the car park in an ef­fort to con­ceal their ac­tiv­i­ties.

The op­er­a­tion was led by Supt Robert Joseph, W/Cpl Pom­pey, PC Leopold, WPC Navar­ro and oth­er of­fi­cers from the Tran­sit Po­lice Task Force.
