Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 41-year-old South Oropouche man.
According to initial reports, Anil Aladdin of Partap Trace, St Mary’s Village, complained of chest pains and died, but a medical examiner subsequently discovered a wound to his chest.
Police reports indicated that around 8 pm, Aladdin was liming at Full Tilt Bar, Dehli Road Fyzabad.
He then left around 9 pm to drop a co-worker, a Spanish national, at his Maraj Trace, Fyzabad home.
Police were told that Aladdin asked to use the bathroom but complained of chest pains and shortness of breath. He then became unresponsive.
When the police arrived, they found Aladdin's body slouched on a chair.
While examining the body, however, the district medical officer observed an apparent wound approximately one and a half inches wide in the chest area.
Police said there was no blood around the wound or on his clothing.
Officers of Homicide Region 3 processed the scene and are now investigating.
