Sascha Wil­son

A 73-year-old Tabaquite pen­sion­er was found dead on his bed last evening. His Pi­paro Road home had been ran­sacked. 

There were no vis­i­ble marks of vi­o­lence on the body of Lutch­miper­sad Sookram, but his death is be­ing treat­ed as a sus­pect­ed homi­cide.

Sookram's son left him home around 6 am to go to work in Pe­nal. When he re­turned home around 6:30 pm he no­ticed the house had been ran­sacked. 

He then saw his fa­ther's body ly­ing face down on a bed. Sookram's right hand was be­hind his back. He alert­ed the neigh­bours and the po­lice were con­tact­ed.  

Sookram's son was not sure whether any­thing was miss­ing. The body was re­moved to a fu­ner­al home pend­ing a post-mortem at the Foren­sic Sci­ence Cen­tre.  

South­ern Di­vi­sion crime scene in­ves­ti­ga­tors processed the scene and in­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing.
