"Taste of Carnival" generates $2.7M in revenue

The Na­tion­al Car­ni­val Com­mis­sion (NCC) gen­er­at­ed $2,449,584 dol­lars from this year's "Taste of Car­ni­val 2022".

This was re­vealed in the Par­lia­ment this morn­ing by Min­is­ter of Tourism, Cul­ture and the Arts, Sen­a­tor Ran­dall Mitchell.

Min­is­ter Mitchell gave a break­down of how the rev­enue was earned:

"Spon­sor­ship, gate re­ceipts, venue rental and mis­cel­la­neous in­come which in­clud­ed ven­dor booth rental, ac­cred­i­ta­tion fees and bar sales."

The Min­is­ter said ac­tiv­i­ties al­so were held at per­for­mance spaces un­der his Min­istry such as NA­PA, SAPA, Na­pari­ma Bowl and Queen's Hall.

"Rev­enue earned from the host­ing of events at these spaces was $317, 735. 25," the min­is­ter con­firmed.
