Four sus­pects, in­clud­ing a teenag­er, were ar­rest­ed at a house in Tu­na­puna on Sat­ur­day, af­ter po­lice dis­cov­ered a mag­a­zine con­tain­ing ten rounds of am­mu­ni­tion hid­den in a bed­room.

The 16-year-old was said to be lim­ing with three men, aged 20, 22 and 23, at a house in Bam­boo Trace, Tu­na­puna, when of­fi­cers ar­rived.

In keep­ing with the State of Emer­gency (SoE) Pow­ers Reg­u­la­tions 2026, the search was con­duct­ed in the area by the North Cen­tral Di­vi­sion Task Force East and West.

The search was led by ACP Rishi Singh, Snr Supt Gift and Supt Jaikaran; co­or­di­nat­ed by ASP Bharath and Sgt Lau­rent; and di­rect­ly su­per­vised by Cpl Per­sad.

Of­fi­cers searched the house, where they found the mag­a­zine con­tain­ing ten rounds of 5.56 mm am­mu­ni­tion.

The four sus­pects all live at Bam­boo Trace, Tu­na­puna.
