Four suspects, including a teenager, were arrested at a house in Tunapuna on Saturday, after police discovered a magazine containing ten rounds of ammunition hidden in a bedroom.
The 16-year-old was said to be liming with three men, aged 20, 22 and 23, at a house in Bamboo Trace, Tunapuna, when officers arrived.
In keeping with the State of Emergency (SoE) Powers Regulations 2026, the search was conducted in the area by the North Central Division Task Force East and West.
The search was led by ACP Rishi Singh, Snr Supt Gift and Supt Jaikaran; coordinated by ASP Bharath and Sgt Laurent; and directly supervised by Cpl Persad.
Officers searched the house, where they found the magazine containing ten rounds of 5.56 mm ammunition.
The four suspects all live at Bamboo Trace, Tunapuna.
