Ban­dits made off with over $10,000 worth in snacks on Tues­day morn­ing, af­ter steal­ing from a de­liv­ery dri­ver.

Po­lice re­port­ed that around 11.15 am, the 27-year-old de­liv­ery dri­ver parked a Sun­shine Snacks de­liv­ery truck on George Street to pur­chase roti.

When he re­turned, he found the truck was bro­ken in­to and snacks miss­ing.

The dri­ver said ten cas­es of al­monds worth $3839.94; a case of hon­ey roast­ed cashew nuts val­ued at $716.40; 13 cas­es of cashew nuts val­ued at $4642.56, and eight cas­es of sun mix val­ued $2757.13 were miss­ing. The over­all loss was val­ued at $11,956.03.
