A Glen­coe dis­trib­u­tor of dis­pos­able vapes was robbed of more than $170,000 in mer­chan­dise, af­ter ban­dits broke in­to his rent­ed ware­house in San Juan on Sun­day.

The 26-year-old busi­ness­man se­cured the fa­cil­i­ty on Bound­ary Road, San Juan, around 2.30 pm on Sat­ur­day, ac­ti­vat­ed the alarm, and left.

When he re­turned the fol­low­ing morn­ing around 9 am, he dis­cov­ered a glass door on the south­ern side of the build­ing had been bro­ken and the bur­glar-proofed gate on the east­ern side cut open.

Up­on in­spec­tion, he found eight cas­es of Juice Head dis­pos­able vapes val­ued at $88,000, five cas­es of Lost Mary dis­pos­able vapes val­ued at $40,000, and 12 cas­es of Raw wrap­ping pa­per worth $47,000 had been stolen. The to­tal loss was es­ti­mat­ed at $175,000.

Foren­sic in­ves­ti­ga­tors re­port­ed that no us­able fin­ger­prints were re­cov­ered at the scene.

How­ev­er, po­lice said they re­viewed se­cu­ri­ty footage from near­by busi­ness­es and ex­pressed con­fi­dence that an ar­rest is im­mi­nent.
