Three arrested, four AK-47 assault rifles seized

An an­ti-crime ex­er­cise in the South­ern Di­vi­sion be­tween 4 pm and 10 pm on Fri­day, led to the ar­rest of three per­sons—in­clud­ing a Venezue­lan na­tion­al—and the seizure of four AK-47 as­sault ri­fles, 11 mag­a­zines, and a quan­ti­ty of cannabis.

A 30-year-old Venezue­lan who re­sides at Har­mo­ny Hall, Mara­bel­la, was ar­rest­ed while in pos­ses­sion of the four AK-47 as­sault ri­fles and 11 mag­a­zines and charged with traf­fick­ing in firearms.

In ad­di­tion, a 46-year-old un­em­ployed man from Hill­top Dri­ve, Clax­ton Bay was charged for pos­ses­sion of cannabis.

Mean­while, a 30-year-old from Or­ange Field Road, Li­on Dri­ve, Cara­pichama, al­so was charged with pos­ses­sion of cannabis.
