Police arrested three suspects and seized a quantity of cannabis during an anti-crime exercise in the Trincity district over the weekend.
Officers of the DCP Operations Unit carried out the exercise at the Macoya Industrial Estate around 4:20 p.m. on Saturday, based on intelligence about an alleged drug shipment.
Police said they discovered 82 black packets, four brown packets, two transparent packets and one red packet, all containing cannabis.
The suspects, aged 26 to 42, from Trincity and Chaguanas, were arrested for possession of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
Investigations are ongoing.
