SHANE SU­PERVILLE

A shoot­ing in Ari­ma ear­ly this morn­ing led to the death of three chil­dren and a 19-year-old woman.

Po­lice said ten-year-old Faith Pe­terkin, 17-year-old Shane Pe­terkin, Ar­i­an­na Pe­terkin, 14 and Tiffany Pe­terkin, 19, were at their home on Grav­el Road, La Re­treat Ex­ten­sion, Heights of Gua­napo home, around 12:25 am, when rel­a­tives heard sev­er­al gun­shots.

On check­ing they saw the three chil­dren and the 19-year-old rel­a­tive bleed­ing from gun­shot wounds.

Of­fi­cers of the North­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force and an am­bu­lance took them to hos­pi­tal where they were de­clared dead.

Five oth­er peo­ple were al­so wound­ed in the at­tack.

Po­lice from the Spe­cial Ev­i­dence Re­cov­ery Unit (SERU) vis­it­ed the scene and found sev­en spent 9 mm shells, 13 spent 7.62 shells, 33 spent 5.56 shells, a live 9 mm shell with TTPS mark­ings and a live 5.56 shell.

Po­lice from the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions Re­gion II are con­tin­u­ing en­quiries.
