A shooting in Arima early this morning led to the death of three children and a 19-year-old woman.
Police said ten-year-old Faith Peterkin, 17-year-old Shane Peterkin, Arianna Peterkin, 14 and Tiffany Peterkin, 19, were at their home on Gravel Road, La Retreat Extension, Heights of Guanapo home, around 12:25 am, when relatives heard several gunshots.
On checking they saw the three children and the 19-year-old relative bleeding from gunshot wounds.
Officers of the Northern Division Task Force and an ambulance took them to hospital where they were declared dead.
Five other people were also wounded in the attack.
Police from the Special Evidence Recovery Unit (SERU) visited the scene and found seven spent 9 mm shells, 13 spent 7.62 shells, 33 spent 5.56 shells, a live 9 mm shell with TTPS markings and a live 5.56 shell.
Police from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region II are continuing enquiries.
