Three men, including a teenager, were robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday night, after the driver of the car in which they were travelling stopped at MovieTowne, Port-of-Spain.
The victims included a 23-year-old graphic designer of East Edinburgh Garden, Chaguanas, a 23-year-old art student of John Dial, Tobago; and a 19-year-old unemployed man of Diamond Vale, Diego Martin.
The driver, who lives in Chaguanas, was driving his Kia Sportage west on the Audrey Jeffers Highway, when he stopped along Hollywood Boulevard, MovieTowne, to use the facilities.
He returned to the car and got into the driver’s seat just as a white Nissan Tiida Sedan pulled up alongside. Three men, all armed with firearms, robbed the victims of cash and valuables before driving off in the Sportage.
