Three men were shot in Maloney on Tuesday afternoon as they were standing on the road.
The victims, whose ages ranged between 22 to 28 years, all live at different locations in Maloney Gardens, D’Abadie.
They were injured around 4.15 pm as they stood outside Building Nine, Maloney Gardens – when it was reported that a silver Nissan Tiida stopped and three armed men exited and opened fire on them.
Even though the victims ran into Building Nine in an attempt to escape, they were pursued by the gunmen who continued firing.
The gunmen left in the waiting car when the victims collapsed in one of the stairwells.
Emergency health responders took two of the victims to hospital, while the third was transported by a resident.
They were treated for gunshot wounds to the hands and feet.
A total of 19 spent shell casings were recovered at the scene.
