Tobago police are investigating the death of a three-month-old baby in Charlotteville who was found unresponsive at home last Saturday, Senior Superintendent Rodhill Kirk has confirmed.
The baby was taken to the Roxborough Hospital, where doctors pronounced the child dead.
Kirk said an autopsy determined the cause of death was asphyxiation.
He urged the public to avoid speculation and allow investigators to carry out their work.
Kirk also assured that police would leave no stone unturned in the investigation.
The probe comes as police continue searches for missing two-year-old Angelo Tobias.
