A cultivated plot of cannabis plants was destroyed by officers following a drone-assisted eradication exercise conducted in the Tobago Division on Monday.
Between 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., officers of the Tobago Divisional Task Force (Area East) carried out a cannabis eradication
operation in the Boucher Trace, Belle Garden area. Acting on intelligence, W/Cpl Alleyne-Pantin deployed a drone to survey the area, where a plot containing several marijuana plants was located approximately 400 metres off the roadway. She subsequently led a team of officers to the site, where 38 cannabis plants, estimated to have a street value of $38,000, were uprooted and destroyed.
The operation was strategically directed by ACP (Ag.) Subero, coordinated by Snr Supt Elie, and spearheaded by Ag. ASP (Area West/Operations) Williams, Insp Bacchus, and W/Sgt (Ag.) Gordon-Harris. It was supervised by W/Cpl Alleyne-Pantin.
