An unvaccinated person is the latest COVID-19 fatality in Tobago over the past 24 hours, moving the island’s death toll up to 260.
That’s according to the latest update from Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), dated Sunday 3rd April 2022.
Before Sunday, the most recent death was recorded on Friday 1st April 2022, with the deceased noted as one (1) unvaccinated person.
In addition, two (2) people in Tobago have tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, but the number of current active infections on the island continues to fall, with the latest total being 364 persons actively infected.
The Health Division also is reporting that 14 people currently are hospitalised with COVID-19. Twelve (12) of these patients have not been vaccinated at all against the disease, while the other two (2) have been fully vaccinated.
The Tobago COVID-19 update for 3rd April 2022 also notes that at present, the total number of people in Tobago who have recovered from COVID-19 since March 2020, now stands at 7,559.
