Only one person has tested positive for COVID-19 in Tobago over the past 24 hours, with this new infection moving the number of current active infections on the island to 436.
That’s according to the latest update from Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), dated Sunday 27 March 2022.
However, the Division says there were no new deaths from COVID-19 in Tobago over the past 24 hours, with the island’s death toll remaining at 257. The most recent deaths were recorded on Saturday 26 March 2022, with the deceased noted as two (2) unvaccinated persons
The Division also is reporting that 12 people currently are hospitalised with COVID-19. Ten of these patients have not been vaccinated at all against the disease, while the other two (2) have been fully vaccinated.
The Division’s update for 27th March 2022 also notes that at present, the total number of people in Tobago who have recovered from COVID-19 since March 2020, now stands at 7,359.
