Transformer-inspired 'Bots' arrive for J'ouvert

The Trans­former-in­spired 'Bots' that have ar­rived in T&T for J'ou­vert cel­e­bra­tions in Cen­tral Trinidad will be in­tro­duced in a street pa­rade in Freeport on Sat­ur­day.

The 'Bots' re­named as Sam­ba and So­ca Bots will be the main at­trac­tion for La Pen­ca's (Freeport) J'ou­vert band Kolors Erupt - Bahia Car­ni­val.'

The Bots will roll out for an evening of Car­ni­val in­no­va­tion on Sat­ur­day at 10 pm for Kolors Erupt J’ou­vert pre­sen­ta­tion at La Pen­ca, High­way Plaza, Freeport.

"Wit­ness as gi­ant ro­bots stride through the streets, cel­e­brat­ing our shared spir­it of free­dom and fes­tiv­i­ty. With the rhythm of the sea­son puls­ing through our cir­cuits, we’ll be graced by the live sounds of Turn­er, set­ting the stage for a night of un­for­get­table en­er­gy," a com­mit­tee mem­ber said.

"Our al­lies, the mod­els, will be show­cas­ing the vi­brant Kolors Erupt J’ou­vert Wear, a sight not to be missed," the mem­ber added.

Both Bots which are nine feet tall are to rep­re­sent T&T and Brazil car­ni­vals fus­ing to­geth­er and will both be joined among the rev­ellers on the morn­ing of Feb­ru­ary 12 rais­ing the cur­tains on the great­est show on earth in 2024.
