To­ba­go Trini­bad artist Kalon­ji Arthur has been grant­ed $1 mil­lion bail, af­ter ap­pear­ing vir­tu­al­ly be­fore Mas­ter Ma­g­a­ret Sookraj Goswa­mi on Thurs­day, May 16.

The 26-year-old of Golds­bor­ough is fac­ing six charges re­lat­ed to a dri­ve-by shoot­ing in Spey­side on May 4, which left six peo­ple in­jured.

The charges range from wound­ing with in­tent, shoot­ing with in­tent, and pos­ses­sion of firearms and am­mu­ni­tion.

The mat­ter is sched­uled for hear­ing on Feb­ru­ary 26, 2025.

The ve­hi­cle in­volved in the shoot­ing be­longed to mur­der vic­tim Shon­nel Wal­ters-Joseph and was found aban­doned near De­laford.

Wal­ters-Joseph was laid to rest yes­ter­day af­ter­noon, a lit­tle over a week af­ter she was found dead over a precipice at Saw Mill Trace, Mt St George.  Her body was dis­cov­ered sev­er­al hours af­ter the Spey­side shoot­ing.
