The Airports Authority of Trinidad & Tobago (AATT) is set to host Airports Council International – Latin America and the Caribbean’s (ACI-LAC) Annual Assembly Conference and Exhibition in November 2025.
According to a release from the AATT, T&T was officially named as host at the conclusion of the 2024 edition of the event which took place in Guadalajara, Mexico from November 10-12th. The ACI-LAC Annual Assembly Conference and Exhibition is an aviation conference that brings together regional and international leaders to discuss issues affecting airports. Trends in the ATC business, financing the green transition, and optimising infrastructure capacity and the passenger experience were just some of the topics discussed at this year’s conference.
AATT General Manager Hayden Newton was on hand to accept the award and said “our selection as host underscores our nation’s important role in the Latin American and Caribbean aviation network. We are being recognised as leaders in aviation in the region and emerging as a premier destination for international aviation conferences”

T&T is no stranger to hosting international aviation conferences. In October the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers’ Association (IFACTA) held its 40th Annual Regional Meeting at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Port of Spain. Earlier this year the AATT hosted the CAPA Airline Leader Summit for Latin America and the Caribbean, also at the Hyatt. According to the AATT, hosting conferences such as these provide significant benefits to the country including increased consumer expenditure, visibility and awareness of destination T&T, and the potential for increased routes through networking opportunities.
