After two long years of virtual presentations and online operations, the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival (TTFF) has finally made its way back to in-person activities.

With a newfound partnership with the National Library and Information System Authority (NALIS), the TTFF kickstarted the festival’s opening with a press conference outlining the diverse roster of events and activities in the upcoming weeks.

Over the span of a week, the film festival will run from the 22 to the 28 of September with over 24 events. It will highlight an exciting lineup of films featuring different categories including Caribbean, short medium length, student, panorama, new media as well as retrospective films.

The Opening Night Gala of the film festival, which will take place on Wednesday 21 September at IMAX (One Woodbrook Place) promises a night of entertainment for those interested.

The event entails a cocktail reception, followed by the opening night film, “Chee$e,” an award-winning film and an original production of T&T Director, Damian Marcano.

In commemoration of T&T’s Republic Day, the TTFF also opted to celebrate the event with one full day of online screenings of T&T’s films.

The festival's main screening venue will be MovieTowne, Port-of-Spain with other viewings at the NALIS AV room and amphitheatre.

Run by the non-profit, Filmmakers Collaborative, (FILMCO), the TTFF celebrates films from and about the Caribbean and its diaspora, as well as from world cinema, through an annual festival and year-round screenings of submissions.

All additional information on the event, as well as tickets, are available through the TTFF’s website, ttfilmfestival.com.
