The Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association (TTMA) says the manufacturing sector must play a central role in the country's economic recovery and diversification—and the Association stands ready to work with Prime Minister-elect Kamla Persad-Bissessar’s administration to make that happen.
“The manufacturing sector is a critical pillar of national economic resilience and diversification,” the TTMA said in a statement following Monday’s election results.
“We look forward to engaging with the administration to support initiatives that enhance the competitiveness of local industry, drive innovation, and expand exports.”
The TTMA congratulated Prime Minister-elect Persad-Bissessar and the United National Congress (UNC) on their victory in the 2025 general election.
The Association also acknowledged the Tobago People's Party (TPP) on its win in Tobago.
Extending “sincere congratulations” to both parties, the TTMA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting national development.
“As always, the TTMA remains a steadfast partner in the pursuit of sustainable development and prosperity for all citizens of Trinidad and Tobago,” the statement said.
