The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) says a coordinated multi agency operation has disrupted a group of individuals informally referred to as the “Tall Boots Crew”, believed to be behind a series of home invasion incidents across Central Trinidad.
Police say the group operated in Cunupia, Las Lomas, Chaguanas, Freeport and Longdenville over the past several weeks and is linked to approximately 24 reported home invasions within the Central Division and surrounding areas.
Officers carried out the operation on Saturday 2nd May, 2026, involving personnel from the Home Invasion Team (HIT), Central Division Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Central Division Task Force, Guard and Emergency Branch, Canine Unit and the Inter Agency Task Force (IATF).
According to the TTPS, the exercise resulted in the arrest of two suspects, while four others were fatally wounded in separate violent confrontations with responding officers.
Police identified the deceased as Mikhail Guiseppe, of Waterhole, Cocorite, whose age is pending confirmation; Davion Guiseppe, 30, of Lee Trace, North Cunupia; Kevin John, with further details pending; and one additional male whose identity has not yet been established.
The TTPS says investigations remain ongoing and are at a sensitive stage, adding that further details will be provided when it is operationally appropriate.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Richard Smith, of the Criminal Division, said the Service remains committed to identifying, targeting and dismantling criminal groups that threaten the safety and security of communities.
