The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has refuted claims made in an article in the Trinidad Express that a laptop is missing in the Randall Hector case.
In a statement on Sunday afternoon, the TTPS said, “The investigation into the murder of Randall Hector is being actively pursue by officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations.
"The TTPS advises the public that updates on this and other investigations should be sourced only from official statements provided by the Corporate Communications Unit of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service through authorized channels.”
Hector, 43, was gunned down outside a Seventh Day Adventist Church on the corner of Stanmore Avenue and Albion Street, Port-of-Spain on Old Year’s Night.
Police said gunmen in a black SUV and a Nissan B15 drove near Hector’s vehicle and shot him several times. He died at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital. Thirteen spent 9 mm shells were found.
