30-year-old Marlon Macoon appeared before a San Fernando Magistrate yesterday, charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition. He was ordered to undergo a PCR test as he was exhibiting Covid-19 symptoms. Instructions were also given to have him taken to St. Ann’s Psychiatric Hospital as he has a history of mental illness.
In a separate incident, 28-year-old Behrane Lewis appeared before a San Fernando Magistrate yesterday, charged with possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, possession of a firearm to endanger life, possession of ammunition to endanger life and shooting with intent. He was granted bail with surety for $500,000.

A 30-year-old Ste. Madeleine man appeared before a San Fernando Magistrate yesterday, charged with possession of firearm and ammunition.
MARLON MACOON, was charged with the offences when he appeared before Magistrate Armina Deonarinesingh, on Tuesday 29th March, 2022.
He was ordered to undergo a PCR test as he was exhibiting Covid[1]19 symptoms. Instructions were also given to have him taken to the St. Ann’s Psychiatric Hospital to establish his current mental state, as he has a history of mental illness. The matter was then postponed to Thursday 31st March, 2022.
The accused was arrested by officers of the Southern Division, during an anti-crime exercise conducted on Friday 25th March, 2022, supervised by W/Snr. Supt. Lucia Winchester, Supt. Carty and Sgt. Joseph and included officers of the Southern Division Task Force. During the exercise, the accused was allegedly found in possession of one black and silver revolver and two rounds of ammunition.
Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man of Cocoyea, was granted bail with surety in the sum of $500,000, when he appeared before a San Fernando Magistrate yesterday, charged with possession of firearm, possession of ammunition, possession of firearm to endanger life, possession of ammunition to endanger life and shooting with intent.
BEHRANE LEWIS, was charged with the offences after being arrested by officers of the Southern Division Task Force on Monday 28th March, 2022, following a report of shooting with intent against a female victim on that same date.
The matter was postponed to April 19th, 2022.
