Two charged with firearm and ammunition offences

30-year-old Mar­lon Ma­coon ap­peared be­fore a San Fer­nan­do Mag­is­trate yes­ter­day, charged with pos­ses­sion of a firearm and am­mu­ni­tion. He was or­dered to un­der­go a PCR test as he was ex­hibit­ing Covid-19 symp­toms. In­struc­tions were al­so giv­en to have him tak­en to St. Ann’s Psy­chi­atric Hos­pi­tal as he has a his­to­ry of men­tal ill­ness.

In a sep­a­rate in­ci­dent, 28-year-old Behrane Lewis ap­peared be­fore a San Fer­nan­do Mag­is­trate yes­ter­day, charged with pos­ses­sion of a firearm, pos­ses­sion of am­mu­ni­tion, pos­ses­sion of a firearm to en­dan­ger life, pos­ses­sion of am­mu­ni­tion to en­dan­ger life and shoot­ing with in­tent. He was grant­ed bail with sure­ty for $500,000.

A 30-year-old Ste. Madeleine man ap­peared be­fore a San Fer­nan­do Mag­is­trate yes­ter­day, charged with pos­ses­sion of firearm and am­mu­ni­tion.

MAR­LON MA­COON, was charged with the of­fences when he ap­peared be­fore Mag­is­trate Armi­na De­onar­i­nesingh, on Tues­day 29th March, 2022.

He was or­dered to un­der­go a PCR test as he was ex­hibit­ing Covid[1]19 symp­toms. In­struc­tions were al­so giv­en to have him tak­en to the St. Ann’s Psy­chi­atric Hos­pi­tal to es­tab­lish his cur­rent men­tal state, as he has a his­to­ry of men­tal ill­ness. The mat­ter was then post­poned to Thurs­day 31st March, 2022.

The ac­cused was ar­rest­ed by of­fi­cers of the South­ern Di­vi­sion, dur­ing an an­ti-crime ex­er­cise con­duct­ed on Fri­day 25th March, 2022, su­per­vised by W/Snr. Supt. Lu­cia Win­ches­ter, Supt. Car­ty and Sgt. Joseph and in­clud­ed of­fi­cers of the South­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force. Dur­ing the ex­er­cise, the ac­cused was al­leged­ly found in pos­ses­sion of one black and sil­ver re­volver and two rounds of am­mu­ni­tion.

Mean­while, a 28-year-old man of Co­coyea, was grant­ed bail with sure­ty in the sum of $500,000, when he ap­peared be­fore a San Fer­nan­do Mag­is­trate yes­ter­day, charged with pos­ses­sion of firearm, pos­ses­sion of am­mu­ni­tion, pos­ses­sion of firearm to en­dan­ger life, pos­ses­sion of am­mu­ni­tion to en­dan­ger life and shoot­ing with in­tent.

BEHRANE LEWIS, was charged with the of­fences af­ter be­ing ar­rest­ed by of­fi­cers of the South­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force on Mon­day 28th March, 2022, fol­low­ing a re­port of shoot­ing with in­tent against a fe­male vic­tim on that same date.

The mat­ter was post­poned to April 19th, 2022.
