Twenty-six-year-old Josh Constantine and twenty-four-year-old Daniel Sandu have been charged with the murder of 19-year-old Aaron Smith. The following is a press release from the TTPS:
Officers attached to the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) Region 2 have arrested and charged two men for the murder of 19- year-old Aaron Smith, which occurred on August 17th 2020.
JOSH CONSTANTINE, 26, of Auzonville Road, Tunapuna and DANIEL SANDY aka ‘Danny Boy’, 24, of Nursery School Street, Lambeau, Tobago, were charged on Wednesday 29th September 2021, by PC Anderson Marash of the HBI Region 2.
The charges were laid after Legal Officer, Insp Maharaj, received the advice from Director of Public Prosecutions, Mr. Roger Gaspard S.C. CONSTANTINE and SANDY appeared at the Tunapuna Magistrates’ Court, today, before Senior Magistrate, Indra Ramoo-Haynes.
They answered to the charges of: 1. Murder 2. Shooting with intent 3. Possession of firearm 4. Possession of ammunition 5. Possession of firearm to endanger life 6. Possession of ammunition to endanger life.
Both men were remanded into custody and are due to reappear in court on October 25th 2021. Enquiries were supervised by ASP Douglas, Insp. Hosein and W/Insp Sylvester all of HBI Region 2.
