The murder toll rose by two during an early morning shooting in Arima onS aturday.
Police said Keith Benjamin Spencer, 47, and Junior Castillo, whose alias is ‘Roti’, were liming at a bar near the corner of Queen and Farfan Streets at around 2.43 am when a car drove near them.
Gunmen got out of the car and killed one of the men, as the other man tried to run away from his attackers, but was chased and killed.
Arima police were called in with a district medical officer, who declared Castillo and Benjamin dead at the scene.
When Guardian Media visited the scene later on Saturday morning, vendors said they had to wash the remnants of blood down from the sidewalk before beginning to ply their trade for the day.
Officers of the Region II Homicide Bureau are continuing enquiries.
No motive has been established for the murder.
