Two men were killed in a shoot­ing along La Canoa Road, Low­er San­ta Cruz, on Sat­ur­day night.

Po­lice said around 8.20 pm, 31-year-old labour­er An­ge­lo Le­an­dre was wash­ing his car when sev­er­al armed men ap­proached and opened fire.

Le­an­dre tried to run along the road­way but was chased and shot sev­er­al times. His body was lat­er found ly­ing on the road at Sun Val­ley Ex­ten­sion.

An­oth­er man, iden­ti­fied as Je­re­mi­ah Brit­to, who was al­so in the area, was hit dur­ing the gun­fire. He was tak­en to the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex by a woman but was pro­nounced dead at 8.50 pm.

Crime Scene In­ves­ti­ga­tors re­cov­ered 18 spent 9mm shell cas­ings and two pro­jec­tiles at the scene.
