North­east­ern Col­lege has record­ed a sec­ond stu­dent fight with­in days of the open­ing of the new aca­d­e­m­ic year, with two boys be­ing tak­en to the prin­ci­pal’s of­fice yes­ter­day, af­ter they were seen fight­ing on the school com­pound.

Guardian Me­dia was in­formed that around 12.30 pm, two boys from Forms Two and Three were seen fight­ing in Block H at the school.

Po­lice of­fi­cers as­signed to the school were alert­ed and re­spond­ed.

The two boys were tak­en to the prin­ci­pal’s of­fice, where they were told they must re­turn to school with their par­ents to­day, when de­ci­sions will be made on the in­ci­dent.

The in­ci­dent came days af­ter four oth­er North­east­ern Col­lege stu­dents were sus­pend­ed af­ter they were seen fight­ing on the streets af­ter school on Mon­day, in a video cir­cu­lat­ed on so­cial me­dia.

The four sus­pend­ed stu­dents have since at­tend­ed the San­gre Grande Sus­pen­sion Cen­tre, which is housed at the Po­lice Youth Club build­ing at Brook­lyn Set­tle­ment, San­gre Grande.

Guardian Me­dia un­der­stands that the four boys have since be­come friends and were seen walk­ing to­geth­er af­ter dis­missal yes­ter­day.

The lat­est in­ci­dent has re­newed con­cerns about fight­ing among stu­dents at the school.
