Two men posing as police chopped a Venezuelan man before raiding his home of valuables.
Investigators said around 11 pm, Argelic Marquies,39, was at his home located at Pointe- a- Pierre Rd, San Fernando at the old gas station compound, when he heard someone knocking on his front door shouting "Police!"
The men were armed with a gun and a cutlass. They dealt Marquies a chop to the head, injuring him. Marquies ran off and and made a report to the San Fernando Police Station.
He was told to seek medical attention but police did not go immediately to the scene as Marquies was hospitalised. PC Boochun and PC Thomas visited the victim at the San Fernando General Hospital.
No arrests have yet been made.
