The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty (WASA) is cur­rent­ly con­duct­ing flush­ing ex­er­cis­es in Cen­tral Trinidad fol­low­ing dis­coloura­tion in their wa­ter sup­ply.  

WASA stat­ed that the dis­coloura­tion is, “due to pipeline scour­ing caused by ad­di­tion­al valv­ing op­er­a­tions as­so­ci­at­ed with the Point Lisas De­sal shut­down”.  

WASA ad­vis­es af­fect­ed cus­tomers to let their taps run un­til the dis­coloura­tion clears.  

The ar­eas af­fect­ed are: 
Cen­tral Ca­roni, War­renville, Cunu­pia, Ch­agua­nas, Ca­paro, Chase vil­lage, Cou­va, Pt Lisas, Cal­i­for­nia, Clax­ton Bay.
