The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) has confirmed that emergency response teams were deployed today after a transmission main ruptured near Beetham Gardens during a cleaning exercise being carried out by another agency.
In a media release, WASA said it was alerted to the incident and immediately began response operations at the site.
The Authority said dewatering operations were already underway to allow officials to assess the extent of the damage and determine the repairs required.
WASA assured customers that efforts were ongoing to minimise the impact of the disruption as crews focus on restoration work.
The Authority said further updates would be provided as repairs progress.
